Cyrus for Minecraft

Minecraft modding, from a sentence

Cyrus turns a plain-language description into a working Minecraft server plugin, a build you can paste with WorldEdit, or the data pack parts a mod needs. Every plugin is compiled, scanned and booted on a real test server before you get it.

What you can make

  • Server plugins for Paper: commands, items, mobs, mini-games, economies, events.
  • Builds as schematics: rooms, halls, arenas and spawn hubs you download as .schem or .nbt.
  • Data pack parts: recipes, loot tables, advancements and functions, generated for your exact version.
  • Custom looks: textures, sounds and 3D models through the Cyrus studios, shipped as a server resource pack.

How it works

You describe what you want. Cyrus plans it and shows the plan before anything is built. It writes the code, compiles it against your Minecraft version, scans it, and runs a Test Flight: a fresh server boots with your plugin and runs checks against it. You get the result with a plain list of what was checked and what was not.

What Cyrus does not do

  • Client-side mods (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge) are not built yet. Everything Cyrus makes runs on the server.
  • Bedrock Edition is not supported. Cyrus targets Java Edition servers.
  • A passed Test Flight means the plugin loaded and did what was checked; it is not a promise that there are no bugs.

Supported versions

Cyrus builds for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.4, 1.21.1 (Java Edition, Paper servers). Newer 26.x versions are in preview and are not offered for builds yet. Older versions and the 1.21.x releases between these are not built; see the versions page for the full list.

  • A server to run it on
  • Portals and structures
  • Items and loot

FAQ

Questions

Is Cyrus a Minecraft mod?

Cyrus is a web app that makes Minecraft server plugins (often called mods) and builds for you. What it makes is installed on your server like any other plugin.

Do I need to know Java?

No. You describe the plugin in plain words. You can read the generated code if you want, and change the plugin later by describing the change.

Do my players need to install anything?

No. Plugins made with Cyrus run on the server (Cyrus tests on Paper; Purpur is a Paper fork and usually runs Paper plugins, but it is not tested), and builds are ordinary blocks, so players join with a normal Minecraft client.

Which Minecraft versions are supported?

Java Edition 1.21.11, 1.21.8, 1.21.4, 1.21.1 on Paper. Minecraft 26.x is in preview and cannot be built for yet. Older versions, Spigot, Folia and Bedrock are not supported.

Which file formats can I download?

A WorldEdit schematic (.schem, Sponge schematic version 3, for WorldEdit 7.3+ and FAWE) and a vanilla structure file (.nbt, for structure blocks and /place template). Both are made from the same build, block for block.
