Cyrus for Minecraft

Minecraft schematic generator

A schematic is a saved piece of a world you can paste anywhere. Cyrus generates schematics from a description and gives you both common formats, made from the same build.

.schem or .nbt: which one?

  • .schem (Sponge schematic v3) is WorldEdit's format. Use it with WorldEdit 7.3+ or FAWE on a server or in single player; it has no practical size limit.
  • .nbt is the vanilla structure format. Load it with a structure block (up to 48 x 48 x 48) or with /place template, which has no such limit. No plugin needed.
  • Litematica users: Litematica can import vanilla structure files, so use the .nbt.

Load a .schem with WorldEdit

  • Copy the file to plugins/WorldEdit/schematics on the server (or config/worldedit/schematics for the client mod).
  • Run //schem load <name>.
  • Stand where the north-west bottom corner should go and run //paste.

Load an .nbt structure

  • Copy the file into a data pack: data/<namespace>/structure/<name>.nbt, or into your world's generated/<namespace>/structures folder.
  • Run /place template <namespace>:<name> ~ ~ ~ (or use a structure block in LOAD mode for builds up to 48 per side).

Clean files

Downloads contain blocks only: no command blocks, no spawners with custom data, no hidden entities. Chests are empty.

Step by step

Load a Cyrus schematic with a structure block

  1. Download the .nbt file.
  2. Put it in your world's generated/minecraft/structures folder.
  3. Place a structure block, set it to LOAD, type the file name and click LOAD.
FAQ

Questions

Which file formats can I download?

A WorldEdit schematic (.schem, Sponge schematic version 3, for WorldEdit 7.3+ and FAWE) and a vanilla structure file (.nbt, for structure blocks and /place template). Both are made from the same build, block for block.

Does it work in single player?

Yes. Use a structure block or /place template with the .nbt, or WorldEdit for Fabric/NeoForge with the .schem.

Can I edit the build afterwards?

Yes. It is a normal schematic: paste it and edit it in game. Signed-in users can also change the build in the Cyrus Room Studio and download it again.

Is it free?

The example builds on these pages are free to download, no account needed. Generating your own build has a small free allowance (your first build with a free account is free too); after that each generation uses Cyrus tokens, and the generator shows the price before you start. Downloading a build you generated needs a free account.
