Terms of Service — Cyrus
Version 1.1 · Effective October 15, 2026 · Last updated October 15, 2026
What changed: First version of the Cyrus-specific terms. Before this, Cyrus used the general Nxeon Terms of Service.
These terms apply when you use Cyrus. Cyrus is a product of Nxeon and runs on your Nxeon account, so Nxeon's own terms for billing, acceptable use and service levels also apply and are linked below.
1.Who we are and what these terms cover
Cyrus is operated by Nxeon ("Nxeon", "we", "us"). These Cyrus Terms of Service ("Cyrus Terms") are an agreement between you and Nxeon about your use of Cyrus: the cyrus.my website, the Cyrus studio, the Cyrus API, and anything Cyrus builds for you.
Cyrus runs on your Nxeon account, so these documents also apply to you and are part of the agreement:
- Nxeon Terms of Service (accounts, billing, wallet, suspension, liability, governing law)
- Nxeon Acceptable Use Policy
- Nxeon Service Level Agreement (applies to Nxeon hosting, not to Cyrus build results)
- Nxeon Privacy Policy and the Cyrus Privacy Policy
If these Cyrus Terms conflict with the general Nxeon Terms about Cyrus itself, these Cyrus Terms win for Cyrus. For everything else, the Nxeon documents apply. If you do not agree, do not use Cyrus.
2.What Cyrus is, and what it is not
Cyrus is an AI-assisted tool that turns your written request into a Minecraft server plugin or mod (source code, a compiled file, and related assets), and can help you install it on a game server you control.
Cyrus output is generated by artificial intelligence. It can be wrong, incomplete, unsafe for your setup, or behave differently from what you asked for. Always test a build on a copy or test server before you put it on a server people rely on, and keep backups. You are responsible for deciding to run what Cyrus builds.
Cyrus and its output are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that a build will compile, work, be compatible with your game version or other plugins, be free of defects, or be suitable for a particular purpose. This does not limit rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios / Microsoft. Cyrus is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang or Microsoft. Cyrus does not provide Minecraft game files or Mojang assets.
3.Accounts and the private beta
There is no separate Cyrus password. You sign in to Cyrus with your Nxeon account (including the options offered on the Nxeon sign-in page, such as Google). One account, one wallet, one set of account settings.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, as the general Nxeon Terms require. You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it, including through personal API keys you create.
Cyrus may be in private beta. While it is, access is limited to invited accounts, features can change or be removed without notice, and limits can be adjusted. We may end the beta, change who can use Cyrus, or pause Cyrus at any time.
4.Your Cyrus username (author tag)
If you create a creator profile or publish a mod, Cyrus shows your Cyrus username (handle) and optional bio next to what you publish. Public mod pages, listings and remix or fork credits show that username, not your email address.
Choose a username you are happy to be public. Do not choose one that impersonates another person or brand, or that is offensive. We may change or remove a username that breaks these terms.
5.Tokens
Cyrus work (builds and changes) is paid for with tokens. A token is a unit of Cyrus usage that tracks the measured cost of the AI work behind a request; heavier models and larger requests use more tokens. Tokens are not money, are not a stored value or e-money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and are not interest-bearing.
Tokens come from your plan, from top-ups, from free grants (for example a starter grant or tokens that come with a game server purchase or renewal), or from us as goodwill. Each lot of tokens has an expiry date shown in your account. Expired tokens are removed and are not refunded.
How tokens are charged: when you start a build we place a hold on the tokens it may need. When the build finishes we charge the actual cost and release the rest of the hold. A build that fails because of a fault on our side (for example, our AI provider was unavailable or no builder was free) is normally not charged and the hold is released; we apply a fair-use limit to repeated failures, after which a failed build can be charged. A build we refuse for safety or policy reasons, or that you cancel, can be charged for the work already done. Every build has a minimum charge.
A change or refinement request is a new build and costs tokens like any other. We do not promise free refinements or free retries. Daily spending limits apply, and are lower for new accounts.
Unspent tokens of a purchase are reversed if that purchase is refunded or charged back.
Referral and partner rewards: a friend's invite code or link, or a partner's link or code, can come with free tokens. The amounts and the moment they are granted (for example after your first purchase) are set by us, are shown on the Referrals page and may change for future sign-ups. We may withhold or take back rewards that come from abuse, such as referring your own accounts, throwaway email addresses or repeat sign-ups from one device.
6.Plans, payments and refunds
Plans, token top-ups and storage add-ons are sold by Nxeon. Card payments are processed by Stripe; wallet payments use your Nxeon wallet. We do not store your full card number. Billing, renewals, taxes, the wallet and refunds follow the Nxeon Terms of Service and the refund policy shown at checkout.
Plans renew until you cancel. A reduction or cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; we do not refund part of a period. Prices and what a plan includes can change for future periods; we will tell you in the product or by email.
Tokens that were already spent on builds are not refunded because you are unhappy with an AI result, except where we say otherwise at the time or the law requires it. If something went wrong with a charge, contact us at [email protected].
7.Acceptable use
You must follow the Nxeon Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not use Cyrus to build, test, publish or distribute:
- malware, backdoors, remote access tools, ransomware, miners, or code that exfiltrates data from a server or player;
- credential, token or password stealers, or code that phishes players or staff;
- tools designed to grief, crash, DDoS or take over servers or players you do not own or have permission to affect (hacked clients and exploit tools aimed at other people's servers);
- anything that violates a game's or platform's terms in a way that puts others at risk, or anything that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or infringes someone's rights;
- content built from assets, code or game files you do not have the right to use.
Cyrus scans generated and imported code and assets, and we may review prompts, builds, public listings and reports to keep people safe, enforce these terms, investigate abuse and improve safety. We can refuse a request, stop a build, remove or hide content, withhold output, suspend access and report unlawful activity to the authorities. We do not call a scanned build "safe"; a scan lowers risk but does not remove it.
8.Your content, generated output, and our licence
You own your prompts, uploads, designs and other input ("Your Input"). Subject to these terms, and to the extent we have any rights in it, we give you the rights in what Cyrus generates for you from Your Input ("Output") so that you can use, modify and distribute it. Output may be similar to output given to other people, and AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in some places. We make no promise that Output is original or free of third-party rights.
You give Nxeon a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process, run, scan, display and transmit Your Input and Output as needed to provide Cyrus to you, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and show it where you choose to publish it. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for backups and records described in the Privacy Policy and anything you published that others have already received.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload or import (images, sounds, models, source code, mods, textures). Do not upload content you may not share. Upload of material derived from a game's own files is limited: such content is kept private to your job, is never added to any shared library, and is not redistributed by Cyrus.
Third-party assets: the shared Cyrus asset library contains only material we have cleared under a CC0 (public domain) dedication or that Nxeon owns. Cyrus does not supply Mojang or Minecraft assets. Assets you bring from your own game install stay private to your account.
9.Publishing mods and the community library
Publishing is your choice. Your builds and projects are private unless you publish them or share them. If you publish a mod, page, post, media or collection on Cyrus or on the Nxeon mods pages, you grant Nxeon and the users of those services a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, promote and distribute it, and to download, install, fork, remix and credit it as the listing allows. You keep ownership. You confirm you have the rights to publish it and that it follows these terms.
Cyrus may add assets that were authored inside Cyrus (not uploads, imports, templates or anything derived from game files or other people's work) to a shared community library, after automated content filters. By creating them in Cyrus you dedicate those assets to the public under CC0, so that anyone can use them without credit. Your account is stored with such an asset only as an opaque identifier that is not shown publicly. Only assets that pass the filters are added, and removal on request is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may take down, hide or remove published content after a report or our own review, with or without notice. To report a problem, use the report option on the page or write to [email protected].
10.Third-party AI processing
To generate builds, Cyrus sends your request and the project material the model needs to a third-party AI model provider (currently Anthropic). See the Cyrus Privacy Policy for exactly what is sent. Do not put secrets, personal data of other people, or information you must keep confidential into prompts or uploads.
11.Availability and changes to Cyrus
We try to keep Cyrus available but do not guarantee it. Cyrus depends on third parties (AI providers, payment processors, game and library vendors) and can be slow, limited or unavailable, including for maintenance. The Nxeon SLA does not apply to Cyrus build results or availability.
We may change, limit, add or remove features, models, games, limits and prices. If a change materially reduces something you paid for, we will say how it affects your unspent tokens.
12.Suspension and termination
You can stop using Cyrus at any time and can ask us to delete your Cyrus data (see the Privacy Policy). Closing your Nxeon account ends your Cyrus access.
We may suspend or end your access, remove content and cancel tokens if you break these terms or the Nxeon terms, create a security or legal risk, abuse the free grants or limits, do not pay, or if we must do so by law. Refunds, if any, follow the Nxeon Terms of Service. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, licences already granted for published content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.
13.Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Nxeon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, players, servers, goodwill or reputation, arising from Cyrus or its output, including damage caused by running a generated plugin or mod.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Cyrus is limited as set out in the Nxeon Terms of Service: the amount you paid to Nxeon in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14.Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Nxeon against claims, losses and costs arising from Your Input, what you publish, how you use Output, or your breach of these terms or the law, as set out in the Nxeon Terms of Service.
15.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the same law and venue as the Nxeon Terms of Service, which are the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nxeon is established. Please check that document for the current wording before relying on it.
16.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do we change the version and date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you in the product or by email. If you keep using Cyrus after a change takes effect, you accept the new version.
17.Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected], or through the Nxeon contact page. Abuse reports and takedown requests can go to the same address.
