Texture Studio

A pixel editor for the art in your mod, with AI edits you can accept or reject.

Texture Studio edits the item, block and effect textures in your mod. It needs a plan that includes it (Roku).

What you can do

  • Paint pixel by pixel with layers, undo, palettes and ramps.
  • Preview the texture on the item in the places it appears: hotbar, hand, dropped, item frame, head.
  • Scrub item states such as idle, pull, aim and reload, where the item has them.
  • Apply a style across the whole mod so the art matches (palette, outline, noise).
  • Ask for an AI edit. It arrives as a candidate next to your texture, with a before and after. You accept it or discard it. It never replaces your work on its own.
  • Search the texture library and drop an asset in. See libraries.

Quality review

The review screen checks palette size, contrast, edges, banding and transparency, and says what to fix.

Your own game files

If you want to start from the game's own textures, you can bring your own copy. Cyrus reads it in your browser and sends only fingerprints, keeps the file only as long as the job needs, and never contributes it to the library. See safety and licensing.

Limits

  • Older Minecraft versions show fewer item looks. On 1.21.1 only some items can carry a custom look, and the studio shows each limit.
  • Cyrus checks that your art is not a near copy of a vanilla texture.
  • Resource packs are checked on test servers. Confirming them in a real game client is still in progress, so look at your art in the game before you share it.
