Test Flight and "boot-tested"
What Test Flight runs, what its labels mean, and what it cannot tell you.
After a build, Cyrus can run Test Flight: a disposable server of your exact Minecraft version, started from scratch.
What it does
- Starts a fresh server on the version your mod targets.
- Loads your mod and checks it enabled.
- Runs commands against it and checks the responses and the log.
- Where the mod has tests, runs a scripted test player.
- Shuts the server down cleanly.
What the labels mean
- Flight passed: every required step ran and passed.
- Flight failed: a step ran and failed. The result lists which.
- Flight incomplete: a required step did not run. This is never shown as a pass.
- In flight: still running.
- Boot-tested is shown only for versions and parts where the test actually ran. If a check was skipped, it is listed as skipped.
What it cannot tell you
- It does not use a real game client. How things look and sound in the client can differ from what was checked.
- Player-behaviour tests currently cover limited versions. Where a check did not run, the result says so.
- A pass means the mod loaded and did what was checked. It is not a guarantee there are no bugs.
Install gate
Depending on settings, an install can be blocked when a flight fails. The page shows why.
